I have been painting for as long as I can remember. 

 

The beauty and uniqueness of the moments of my presence in life, in this world, always inspired me to capture, to fix them, through drawing or painting. Painting for over 30 years has been my most powerful contact with life. It is the way I convey my essence.

 

I have started my journey with figurative paintings, although I tried to distance myself for it through abstraction. This opened me to news and hidden meaning in abstract imagery. 

Actually, my depiction blurs the lines between the figurative and abstractive.

 

Nature have always been at the centre of my inspiration, taking insight from the essence of the living.

For me the colors are of outmost importance with the forms and structures of the Nature, they create new pictures in my mind’s eye that I try to convey on canvas.

I mostly rely on my emotional inspiration that on a material one. 

 

From big to small, from plentiful to the void, from the mountain to the pebble and from the trees to the cracks in the ice, everything can be a source for the creation of a visual (…pictorial form/matter). 

 

I feel the energy of the Nature, its power of transformation (of things), its different transitory states. I don’t feel the need for the quaint but I try to put an energy in my compositions. This is why my main (medium) is oil paintings because it’s a living substance. 

Nature is a source of metaphorical and conceptual content in my work.
